Education

Christopher James has testified extensively in litigation and regulatory matters related to financial institutions, antitrust and competition, securities, and valuation. He has addressed issues involving loss causation, mutual fund pricing, estimation of damages, class certification, and bodog sportsbook review restructurings.

Professor James’s research focuses on financial intermediation, bodog sportsbook review finance, and applied econometrics. He has studied extensively the role of financial institutions in the capital acquisition process, and analyzed the effects of the financial crisis on the availability of bank credit and on the value of structured products. Professor James has held positions at the FDIC and at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He has also consulted to a number of government agencies and bodog sportsbook review entities on issues concerning the valuation of bodog sportsbook review assets, bank management, bodog sportsbook review finance, and real estate–related issues.

Professor James has served on the editorial boards of several scholarly journals, including the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of bodog sportsbook review Economics, the Journal of bodog sportsbook review Services Research, and Managerial and Decision Economics. He has published widely in leading journals on credit market conditions, lending practices, mergers and acquisitions, financial institutions’ compensation policies, bodog sportsbook review finance, and mortgage-backed securities. Professor James has received multiple awards for outstanding teaching.
