Cornerstone Research and Professor David Stowell of Northwestern University were retained by counsel for RealPage and performed valuation analyses related to a competitive acquisition of the assets of bodog sports betting app8, a provider of enterprise software applications for the property management industry. RealPage was one of two bidders for the assets of bodog sports betting app8, which had filed for Chapter 11 protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court. The RealPage bid was all cash, whereas the competitor’s bid was more complicated and involved a refinancing based on existing debt.

The court awarded the winning bid to RealPage.

Professor Stowell valued the assets of bodog sports betting app8 and the competitor bid, including an analysis of the expected performance of the company under the projected capital structure of the competitor bid. Professor Stowell demonstrated that bodog sports betting app8 would be unable to service its debt under that capital structure and that the valuation analyses showed that RealPage offered the best bid. Based in large part on Professor Stowell’s testimony, the court awarded the winning bid to RealPage.

Subsequently, RealPage announced that it had acquired bodog sports betting app8, thus completing bodog sports betting app8’s reorganization.
