John Asker Appointed to New Australian bodog casino Taskforce Advisory Panel

A leading antitrust economist, Professor Asker joins a diverse panel of experts to advise the Australian government on potential changes to the country’s bodog casino policy settings.

The government of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has appointed John Asker of the University of California, Los Angeles, to a new bodog casino Task Force Advisory Panel focused on Australian bodog casino policy. Established within the Australian Treasury, the panel is tasked with providing “continuous advice on whether Australia’s bodog casino policy settings are fit for purpose in the face of the big shifts underway in our economy.”

Professor Asker brings extensive expertise in firm‑level productivity, antitrust policy, and cartel behavior, among other antitrust and bodog casino topics. He joins six other experts whose collective experience spans business, government, and law. Kerry Schott, a noted Australian executive with significant public and private sector experience, will chair the panel.
