Dr. Litten has nearly a decade of experience leading teams supporting experts, attorneys, and clients in complex merger reviews, as well as litigation stages from discovery through trial. His antitrust analysis expertise covers many industries, including airlines and travel, healthcare, higher education, and video games.

Mergers, antitrust, and competition

Dr. Litten works on behalf of government agencies, merging parties, and third parties in all stages of merger review, including high-profile matters that have reached the litigation phase.

In antitrust litigation, he supports clients, attorneys, and experts on class certification, damages, and merits issues.

Dr. Litten’s experience includes:

  • Leading teams to support technology clients navigating multi-jurisdiction merger investigations, including in the U.S., UK, European Union, and other international venues
  • Analyzing monopolization and anticompetitive pricing claims for large technology platforms
  • Supporting the Department of Justice’s (DOJ’s) economist expert in modeling airline demand as part of the DOJ’s successful challenge in U.S. and Plaintiff States v. American Airlines Group Inc. and JetBlue Airways Corp.
  • Supporting the DOJ’s economic expert’s analysis of competitive effects and market concentration in Sabre/Farelogix
  • Evaluating no-solicit and no-hire allegations involving alleged collusion to not compete for healthcare workers
