Education

James Lee is an economist who provides economic and statistical analyses to clients involved in complex litigation and consulting projects. Working closely with leading academic and industry experts, Dr. Lee develops econometric models, analyzes complex data, and leads case teams in matters on a broad range of topics, including antitrust and competition, consumer fraud, and product liability.

Dr. Lee’s work addresses issues in multiple phases of litigation, including class certification, liability, and damages. His experience spans a number of industries, including automobiles, commodities trading, consumer goods, entertainment, life sciences, and technology.

In his recent, representative work, Dr. Lee has consulted on matters involving:

  • Allegations of monopolization, collusion, or anticompetitive harm
  • Antitrust and competition claims made by federal agencies
  • Allegations of price discrimination and harm to competition
  • Economic issues in multiple product liability matters involving manufacturers of automobiles, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals

Dr. Lee has published his research Bodog Poker American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, a leading academic journal, and in The Antitrust Source, the American Bar Association’s online publication devoted to antitrust, consumer protection, and data privacy law.
