Jennifer Juergens specializes in investments. Dr. Juergens has extensive experience with Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and managed account matters, as well as issues involving financial institutions, broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, and asset managers. She consults on disclosure requirements, Bodog Poker corporate governance, and valuation matters, with a focus on Rule 10b-5 and Section 11 securities class actions and derivative litigation.
Dr. Juergens has worked on numerous trials and arbitration hearings, including several matters before the Delaware Court of Chancery. She supports clients and experts through all phases of litigation, with industry expertise that includes cloud computing, energy, financial services, FinTech, and life sciences.
Dr. Juergens’ recent representative matters include:

Dr. Juergens has published her research in the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, and the Quarterly Journal of Finance. She serves on the board of directors of the Financial Management Association.
Before joining Cornerstone Research, Dr. Juergens worked in the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis (DERA) at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where she served as the policy advisor to DERA’s associate director of policy and to the deputy chief economist. In that role, she conducted economic analysis to support rulemaking involving broker-dealers, investment managers, market microstructure, credit ratings agencies, asset management, and corporate issuers.
Prior to joining the SEC, Dr. Juergens served as a faculty member in the finance departments at Drexel University, the University of Texas at Austin, and Arizona State University.
Dr. Juergens is a member of the Pro Bono Advisory Bodog Poker Council of Appleseed Networks.
